CGSU-UE wants to help you navigate difficulties in your workplace.
As a union member you have a legally protected right to have a union representative support you in meetings with supervisors that could result in disciplinary action. The rights to such representation, called Weingarten Rights, are established and afforded under the 1975 Supreme Court case of the same name. For additional information on Weingarten Rights, click here. Once we have successfully bargained our first contract with Cornell, our members will be afforded many other strong and needed protections.
Use the form linked below to request the advice or formal assistance of a trained grad worker representative of CGSU-UE. Responses are not shared beyond the immediate grad worker representative who can reach out to you to help. Please indicate in the description of the situation if there are any considerations that should be made regarding who we can have help.
If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us at help@cornellgradunion.org.
